Finding a Job in today’s climate doesn’t have to seem like it is impossible. You must be creative and think out of the box.
Have a clear picture in your mind of the type of job you’re looking for. Some people do a vision board, but my favorite tool is what I call a God Box. My box is one that I have had for a long time. I have seen people use shoe boxes to make theirs. Write a detailed note including the qualities you are looking to manifest for this opportunity. Be specific since the Universe is responding based on the energy behind the note you are writing. List as many qualities as you feel necessary, I always like to put a date on my notes. Then bless the note and imagine your Creator making every aspect of the qualities a reality in your life. Don’t stop here.
Continue to work every avenue of obtaining employment from networking with people you know, posting on social media and looking at job boards. One other helpful thing to do is to notice trends in employment. Like for instance what is hot now in the job market. This would include jobs at Amazon, grocery stores, delivery services, the healthcare industry, construction and other businesses that are essential.
Once you have identified which of these jobs might interest you see if you know someone personally that can help you and use other sources like LinkedIn to investigate your network. In times like these, it is important to network as much as possible.
Even when times are good you should continue to foster your network by creating new relationships with people and maintaining the ones you have known for a long time.
In addition to your network, let an objective person look at your resume and to make sure it’s representing you in the best possible light. Don’t assume that you need to only apply online. If your interested in working at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in your area as an example go in and talk to someone there once you have applied online.
Getting a job will happen based on the amount of time you spend looking for one. So don’t let the situation in which we see ourselves in as a stumbling block and if you are in one of those careers that aren’t essential currently you can temporarily work your way into another job.
I am reminded that as we focus on actionable steps toward solutions and using our intuition to guide us that ALL WILL BE WELL.
